Summary, etc. Paris with the surrounding Ile-de-France region has seen a serious fall in commercial investment volumes in the first three months of 2009, down 86% on the same period in 2008. The centre of Paris has become however a hive of activity for smaller assets. Commercial rents have stopped rising in Paris with a shortage of tenants giving them the upper hand in rent negotiations. Big investment yields in the capital have overshadowed the attractions of regional centres such as Bordeaux, Lille, Marseille, Nantes and Toulouse. Charts. Graph.
