Summary, etc. [2009] EWHC 3297 (Admin), 26 November 2009. Appeal by appellant landlords (E) from a decision of a rent assessment committee determing an application under Housing Act 1988 s14 for an assessment of rent payable by tenant (C). Rent assessment committee had taken into account supplemental submission from C without being copied to E leading to a breach of natural justice. The rent assessment committee had omitted to take into account the value of security of tenure and had failed to disregard the statutory limit of £25 000 for assured tenancies. Decision quashed, appeal allowed.
