Summary, etc. Reports on the orders for new constructions in Great Britain for December 2009. In the three months leading to December 2008, levels of construction orders were unchanged compared with the previous quarter. Orders rose by 5% in the fourth quarter of 2009 compared to the fourth quarter of 2008. Orders in 2008 fell 13% compared to the amount of orders in 2008. Orders in the private housing sector rose by 20% in the quarter leading to December 2009 compared with the same period in 2008. Housing association orders rose by 38% in the quarter leading to December 2009 compared with the same period in 2008.
