Banks however are not lending to property investors especially those focusing on competitors' assets. While office and retail investment suffers Spain's hotel sector keeps on attracting buyers. Decentralisation in Madrid and Barcelona has prime city centre office rents down. Vacancy rates have now stabilised and landlords are refurbishing aging stock.
