520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. The first of six papers on Europe's industrial and logistics markets concentrates on the macroeconomic trends which are expected to impact on the market over the next decade and beyond. Growing trade with Asia, in particular China and India, will drive new supply chains and infrastructure. New centres of consumption and production are emerging. Turkey has a key role in growing sea and rail freight between Europe and Asia. With Eastern Europe forecast to see strong economic growth the pressure is on for the infrastructure to help make this happen. Internally increased economic scale in Eastern Europe and externally increased scale in Asia will be the crucial drivers of change in these markets.
