Effective from 1 May 2003. Supersedes the "RICS appraisal and valuation manual" (ISBN 0854066993). Published in association with the Institute of Revenues Rating and Valuation, provides UK valuers with standards for providing valuations for financial statements and other publicly available documents. Applies to all RICS members worldwide when undertaking valuations for most purposes. Although updated and expressed in a different way the majority of the Standards in the old manual have not changed. Material that has not been carried forward, mostly guidance notes which dealt with valuations for specific purposes, will be published in the form of Valuation Information Papers at a later date. The print version is catalogued separately (ISBN 1842191233).
