Summary: The tenth survey in the "Contracts in use" series considering trends in the use of the various standard forms of contract and procurement methods. The results of the survey, which covered both new build and refurbishment projects for which work started on site between 1 January and 31 December 2004, are presented using charts, graphs and tables. Key findings include the continued dominance of JCT, with the growing use of alternative standard forms such as the NEC. Design and build still dominates the middle market, although bills of quantities continue to be used regularly. Non-members can obtain a printed copy by emailing [email protected].
