Consultation proposals originate from Sir Michael Latham's recent review of the operation of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 Part II and the Scheme for Construction Contracts (England and Wales) Regulations 1998. The consultation which is a joint exercise between the DTI and Welsh Assembly Government is intended to build a general consensus on the way forward. The closing date is 21 June 2005.
