The report, published on 22 February 2005, was produced by the UNEP Asian Tsunami Task Force in close partnership with the national environmental authorities in the affected countries. It summarises the interim findings from the ongoing environmental assessment in Indonesia, the Maldives, the Seychelles, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Yemen, which are the countries that specifically requested co-operation and assistance from UNEP. Lists urgent measures and measures to ensure long-term sustainability.
