Latest construction market survey from RICS reveals that construction activity across all sectors has picked up slightly. Housing workloads have shown their largest rise in 15 months, although reduced business demand means that commercial market activity has risen less quickly than last year. More surveyors report a rise in workloads this quarter than in the previous quarter. Confidence for the future is high following an interest rate cut and the expected boost to construction activity in London and the South East because of the 2012 Olympic Games.
