Notes that house prices slipped back further in September but at the slowest pace for 14 months. Completed sales edged up to the highest level since December 2004. Stocks of unsold property on surveyors' books were up reversing August's fall but the ratio of sales to stocks of unsold property fell back to 29.9%. The number of newly agreed sales in September was unchanged following August's modest increase and confidence in the sales outlook over the next three months has improved. Surveyors expect a marginal improvement in house prices over the next three months. New buyer enquiries rose in September for the fourth consecutive month but new seller instructions fell in September, the first drop in 18 months.
