Summary: Seeks comments on proposals relating to the planning casework affecting Grade 1 and 2 listed buildings in England with a view to the majority of this work being handled by planning inspectors. The consultation covers proposed amendments to the Town and Country Planning (Determination of Appeals by Appointed Persons)(Prescribed Classes) Regulations 1997, known as the Appointed Persons Regulations, and to DETR Circular 01/2001 "Arrangements for handling heritage applications: notification and directions by the Secretary of State". Comments are required by 24 May 2006.
