Presents the fifth year of results from the IPD UK residential databank. Institutional demand for residential property is predicted to increase despite 2005 returns showing their lowest levels for five years. The sector will continue to attract investment although it has underperformed both commercial property and equities in 2005 with its 8.1% return the lowest since the "IPD UK residential index" was set up in 2000.
