Examines the perceptions and experiences of corruption of 1 404 respondents working in a variety of sectors in the UK construction industry. Reveals that 51% of construction professionals felt that corruption is commonplace, 76% regarded the employment of illegal workers as widespread, 60% felt that fraud within the industry was rife, and 41% had been personally offered a bribe. The total cost of corruption to the respondent's companies was estimated at £35m year.
