Reveals growth in workloads during the fourth quarter 2006 accelerated to the fastest rate since the second quarter 2004, prompted by a stable UK economy and a strong housing market. Both private commercial and private housing activity accelerated compared with the third quarter 2006. Scotland and Wales saw the fastest increase in workloads for the fourth consecutive quarter, with growth experienced in most regions except Northern Ireland. Surveyors' confidence in the future outlook reached its highest level since the fourth quarter 2004.
