Rental yields have remained stable at 6.0% for the fourth consecutive month. Regions with the highest yields in December were Wales, the South West and the North West, all with yields of 6.3%. Average national property value rose 0.3% from £162 304 in November to £162 776 in December. The region with the highest property value is London (£289 558), followed by the South West (£190 635) and the South East (£178 007). Average rental incomes rose from £9 665 in November to £9 700 in December - a monthly increase of 0.4%. The regions with the highest rental income in December were London (£16 389), the South West (£11 990) and the South East (£10 376). Total returns this month stood at 7.2%. In December the region with the highest total returns on a property was the South East (16.1%), followed by the West Midlands (13.5%) and the South West (11.4%).
