National price levels fell below the survey's long run average for the first time since early 2006. 10.6% of surveyors reported a rise than a fall - down from 22.5% in May. New buyer enquiries declined at the fastest rate since February and is seen as a sign of the interest cycle weighing on first time buyer affordability. New instructions fell sharply after the peak in May due to the then-expected introduction of Home Information Packs.
