Finds that buyer has continued to weaken while supply has remained constrained. 14.6% more Chartered Surveyors reported a fall than a rise in house prices, up from 3.3% in July. This represents the fastest decline since 19.4% reported falls in September 2005. New buyer enquiries declined for the tenth consecutive month, and at the fastest pace since March 2003. However new instructions also declined for the fourth consecutive month. This has resulted in further market tightening, and there has been a rise in the sales to stock ratio. London was the only region to experience a rise in instructions.
