Summary: Come into force 6 April 2008. Require the preparation of a Site Waste Management Plan (SWMP) by any person intending to carry out a construction project with an estimated cost greater than £300 000. Explains the requirements for a SWMP, including how to update a SWMP for a project of £500 000 or less and a project worth more than £500 000. Also sets out additional duties of the principal contractor and the client.
