Online resources: Summary: Presents the results of a comparison between two surveys of land tenure across England and Wales. The surveys were undertaken in 1990 and 2007. The purpose of the comparison was to determine the effects of the Agricultural Tenancies Act 1995. Finds that there has been no fundamental shift from owner occupation towards conventional tenancies. However the increase in owner-occupation which had been constant since 1918 appears to have halted.
