Summary: Following on from proposals made in 'Firm Foundations: the Future of Housing in Scotland' (see E141964), this consultation relates to plans to allocate subsidy for new affordable housing through a system of Lead Developers. The Lead Developers would be registered social landlords across Scotland who would take the initiative in achieving more efficient delivery of new affordable housing. They would also provide assistance to other registered social landlords in terms of development and procurement functions. Deadline for comments is 17 March 2009.
