Summary: Presents results of the Office of Fair Trading's survey aimed at finding out the working practices and opinions of estate agents. Part of the OFT's Market Study of Home Buying and Selling, this survey finds that there is an increase of interest in alternative ways of buying and selling a house such as selling privately, through an online estate agent or at an auction. Reports that 88% of both buyers and sellers were satisfied with the service provided by estate agents (see also L146790).
