Looks at the effect which urban regeneration is having on: traditional neighbourhoods which have not been redeveloped; peripheral communities which were developed in order to house displaced residents from urban redevelopment in the city centre; and city-centre residential communities developed as part of a regeneration project to replace existing poor-quality traditional housing. Finda that property-led urban regeneration has intensified processes of gentrification, which has led to a decrease in the sense of neighbourhood attachment and safety.
