Online resources: Summary: UK house prices decreased by 1.52% since June 2010 and increased by 0.3% since June 2011. The mix-adjusted average house price was £207 690 in July 2011 (not seasonally adjusted). UK house prices fell by 0.7% in the quarter ending July 2011 compared with a decrease of 0.2% in the quarter ending April 2011(seasonally adjusted). Annual average house prices fell by 1.5% in England, 1.8% in Scotland, 0.1% in Wales and 4.1% in Northern Ireland. Annual average house prices paid by first time buyers in July were 0.5% lower than a year ago. Average house prices paid by former owner occupiers decreased by 1.9%. Annual average house prices paid for new properties in June 2011 were 6.7% higher than a year ago. By comparison average house prices paid on pre-owned dwellings were 2.1% lower.
