In 2004 Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) held an exhibition to commerate the 60th anniversary of its Practical Planning Exhibition held at ICE HQ in Great George Street in 1944 looking at the role of civil engineers in post Second World World reconstruction. It covered infrastructure including railways, roads and motorways, docks and airports, town and country planning, construction of New Towns Photographs and Bibliography.
