A paper presented at the COBRA Conference in New Delhi on 10-12 September 2013. Concerns the introduction of mediation as an effective tool for disputes resolution in construction projects in Egypt. The characteristics of the mediation process, its different phases, advantages and challenges are discussed in this paper, along with its distinction between the other disputes resolution methods. The steps taken so far to introduce mediation in Egypt is presented.
