Output of the manufacturing industries fell by 0.7% between October and November and there were significant falls in output of 2.5% in the electrical and optical equipment industries. Manufacturing output in the latest three months rose by 0.1% compared with the previous three months with significant rises in output of 1.8% in the transport equipment industries and 1.8% in the chemicals industries.
