Well over a third of developers reported an expansion over a month earlier with only 5% reporting a contraction. Commercial activity in the private sector continued to outpace that in the public sector. Private sector new build again registered the strongest expansion of all activity areas. Both public sector retail and leisure activity and industrial/warehouse activity remained muted during April.
