Rightmove or not?

Series: Rightmove Press Release ; 18 August 2004 (14)Publication details: 2004Subject(s): Summary: The latest "Rightmove house price index" for August has been released with the headline that asking prices have fallen 2% in the last five weeks (10 July to 14 August 2004). The asking price of the average home has fallen from £196 198 to £192 335. The south of England has led with a fall of 4.3% in Greater London. The reduction is due in part to the fact that interest rates have risen five times since November 2003 - from 3.75% to 4.75%. The slowdown has also led to more properties coming onto the market than coming off, reflecting a shift of balance in favour of the buyer. In July 2004 more than 110 000 homes came onto the market.
