RICS 2004 member survey: the results

Series: RICS Business ; September 2004, 26-28(3)Publication details: 2004Subject(s): Online resources: Summary: Summarises the findings of the RICS 2004 member survey responded to by 7 800 members, around 10% of all qualified members. Members from outside the UK participated and accounted for 5% of the responses. Tables and graphs cover the headline results, the top five RICS services, the differences in members' views and an analysis of the respondent base by gender, age, faculty membership and region. The survey shows that overall RICS members still perceive RICS as an effective body for the profession and see their qualification as valuable. There was a feeling that the faculties, national associations and regions need to be reviewed. Many of the findings confirm the conclusions of the Brooke Review, whose implementation will commence later in 2004. View the article and further information at www.rics.org.
