These included that any arrears due at that time should be paid by S to the vendor and recovered later from tenants. S claimed the true purchase price of the property was £13,389 ie the sum of £4,500 paid at auction and £8,889 paid as rent arrears. D disputed this and claimed the correct amount which he had offered to S was £2,2720 representing 8 years` purchase of the total
