Four applications raised the question of whether the processes by which the SoS for the Environment, Transport and the Regions makes decisions relating to appeals under Town and Country Planning Act 1990 SS77-79and orders under the Transport and Works Act 1992, the Highways Act 1980 and the Acquisition of Land Act 1981, are compatible with Article 6 of the European Convention of Human Rights - Human Rights Act 1998 S6(1) and (2).
