Considers the interpretation of the sequential formula for valuing variations in use with most forms of construction and civil engineering contracts in the majority judgements in "Henry Boot Construction Ltd v Alstom Combined Cycles Ltd". Examines in detail the remeasurement provisions of the ICE conditions of contract, particularly sub-clauses 56(2) and 55(2), dealing with quantities remeasurement claims and omitted items standard method claims respectively.
