Argues that the Use Classes Order 1987 is outdated and needs to be revised in the light of changes within retailing. Illustrates how the Order is outmoded with reference to the proliferation of Internet shops which represent a new form of retail use. There is confusion amongst planning authorities as to whether internet shops fall withink Class A1 of the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) Order 1987 which can have an adverse affect for property values and planning.
