Discusses plans to modernise the Technology and Construction Court. Outlines the court's five main roles in construction dispute resolution and highlights its role in the administration and development of construction law. Looks at the proposed review of the construction court, prompted by recommendations in a consultant's report for a new unified commercial court. The first stage is a consultation paper asking for opinions on the proposed location of the courts. A further proposal will follow on how the current specialist courts could share accommodation and resources. The Lord Chancellor will also be promoting London as a centre for international commercial dispute resolution. Urges industry players respond promptly to the consultation and proposals.
