Examines issue that commercial buildings and landlords must employ creative solutions by 2004 if they are to avoid costly alterations under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995. Commercial property owners have been slow to comply and risk being forced to pay penalties. Concludes that the cost of alterations is small compared with these penalties.
