As the HIP must be available to prospective property buyers and the duty to provide it has been placed on the person marketing the property, the introduction of the HIP will have immediate consequences for sellers, estate agents and solicitors providing property-selling services. This article summarises the main provisions relating to the HIP by considering a number of key questions.
