Comments on two recent flood risk assessments: "Sustainability scoping report", being developed in tandem with the South East Plan and "Making communities sustainable: managing flood risks in the government's growth areas" from the Association of British Insurers. New flood defences are planned in the long-term but will not be implemented until 2015-35.
