Argues that Parts L and F of the Building Regulations, due to come into force in 2006, will inevitably lead to an increase in building costs. Considers the possible range of incentives which might be offered by government to encourage developers to adopt a more environmentally-friendly policy, including grants for alternative energy sources, enhanced capital allowances, and tax breaks.
