The Panel has published detailed guidance on the background to this call for proposals, its evaluation procedures and specific information that it wishes to know. Under the Gambling Act 2005 one regional or Las Vegas-style casino along with eight large and eight small casinos will be permitted. The options for the regional casino will be subject to an examination in public. A number of proposals for city centre locations based around new and upgraded football stadia are expected. Proposals are required by 31 March 2006.
