RICS will from October 2006 be able to award the chartered environmentalist (CEnv) qualification to Members and Fellows with suitable credentials. The CEnv qualification establishes professional environmentalists on a par with other professionals such as chartered engineers. SocEnv is an independent, non-political umbrella regulatory and qualifying organisation of 14 professional institutions and learned societies with a prime focus on sustainable environmental management.
