Summary: Yields remained stable in October for the fifth successive month at just over 6% and were highest in Wales (6.4%), the East Midlands (6.43%), the South West (6.36%) and the North West (6.28%). Average property values fell from £171 352 in August to £166 417 in September. Rental incomes eased as property values declined slightly, but remain above the £10 000 mark. Over the past year, rents have risen significantly in the North, East Midlands and South East. Total returns were highest in the North (27.50%) and South East (18.95%) and East Midlands (18.28%).
