Notes the difference in attitudes towards wind turbines across the country. The study focused on residential property values in close proximity to two wind farms in Cornwall, using transaction data for completions between 2000 and 2004. Finds some evidence that proximity to the farms has a detrimental effect on property value. However the level of detail was inconclusive. A second study analysed planning objections to wind farms in the area. This found that 95% of objections were from people living outside Cornwall.
