CECA Survey shows more pain for contractors [electronic resource]

Reports that the most recent results show that CECA members are experiencing the worst trading conditions that the survey has ever recorded. Four in every five companies reported that their workloads had fallen compared to the same time last year. 78% of firms reported that they had lower orders now than a year ago while 93% of firms expected their workload to be as low or lower in 12 months time. Other findings from the survey include that 69% of firms have cut the number of skilled operatives in the last year and 82% report lower tender prices for new work.
