Total investment volumes fell by 36% q-on-q and 38% y-on-y to reach US$24.6bn. Only Thailand and Hong Kong showed increases. Although domestic players dominated activity, inter-regional investment accelerated to US$1.9bn in Q1 compared to US$ 0.4bn in Q4 2011. Retail was the only sector showing increased investment volumes in Q1, led by China and Singapore. The average lot size declined again in Q1 reflecting a shift from prime to secondary stock with their lower capital values.
