Professional indemnity insurance requirements: UK

London, RICS, 2025 , Following a public consultation undertaken from 27 February to 4 April 2025, the RICS Standards and Regulation Board (SRB) has approved a series of changes to the RICS PII Requirements and associated Minimum Policy Wording. These changes take effect on 1 July 2025.

Professional indemnity insurance requirements: UK

London, RICS, 2024 , Prior to 2024, RICS has not published separate PII Requirements Documents for the UK and of Ireland. However, following RICS’ latest consultation on PII Requirements in UK and Ireland that was undertaken in 2023, separate documents have now been published for each jurisdiction. This is to account for minor differences resulting from the cover that must be offered by insurers, where it interacts with legislation, following Brexit.
