The green gluing process upgrades low-value timber by removing defects and sorting or gluing the remaining sections. It produces clear, defect-free timber lengths and has the potential to improve the use of the UK's forest resource. This paper reports on the technical and commercial feasibility of creating a green gluing enterprise in the Greenwood Community Forest in the East Midlands.
