A qualitative approach was selected in order to uncover in-depth insights and detail on the experiences of UK householders. Five ethnographic interviews were carried out with participants in a range of housing situations and four discussion groups were conducted with members of the general public who were all looking to buy an affordable new home in the next 12 months.
