LT 11 March 1994. A reference to determine the amount of compensation payable to the claimant, who claimed the value of his property had been depreciated by artificial lighting erected as part of a link road scheme. The claim was made under the Land Compensation Act 1973 part I. On consideration of the points put forward by the claimant and the council, the judge decided that the artificial lighting in this case did depreciate the value of the claimant`s land, and awarded compensation of £10,000.
