520 _a"Worboys v Cartwrights" ChD 10 July 1992. After delays in a property transaction caused by a third party, the plaintiff (W), relying on advice from his solicitors, proceeded with the sale of his farm, despite having received no firm date for vacant possession of the premises to be purchased, and to seek an order for specific performance. W found himself homeless and without livelihood, and so sued his solicitors successfully for negligent advice.
